About

Welcome to mamacino!

My name is Kristin.  I live by the beach with my husband and three beautiful children.  I am passionate about healthy food… cooking it and eating it!  I love going to yoga, traveling and learning new things – constantly!  My family and friends provide  love, fun and adventure in my life which I think, is something worth celebrating.   They also keep me busy and entertained and at the end of the day (well, most days) laughing!

mamacino is a place you can escape to if you have a few moments to savor your morning coffee or you are waiting at the school gate wondering what to make for dinner.   You might read a story that reassures you that you are not the only mother going mental when you are having ‘one of those days’ or be inspired to read about something new that sparks your interest.  I hope you like what I have to share and feel free to add to it, shake it up and pass it on…that’s what mamacino is all about!

  1. Looking forward to more recipe ideas. Love the baked ricotta recipe – will be making that to share on Xmas day for sure so thanks for adding to our day (assuming it is as good as it sounds!!). Sally referred me to your site – what a great supporter you have there. Regards, Sharon :)

    • Hi Sharon. Thanks for taking a look. Sally is a great friend, we have known each other for a long time. I hope you like the baked ricotta…I had some on toast with fresh tomato for lunch!

  2. I absolutely LOVE your blog, so fresh, so honest and some awesome ideas. I am off to the book shop tomorrow to get Poser! I used to be a real poser…..think I am still a closer one! Keep up the great ideas and memoirs….I love your site, so fresh and inviting, can we take an adventure with you shortly? LeesaXXX

  3. Kristin, congratulations on this new adventure. I loved reading your posts via a reccomendation from Leesa…. That ‘strive for perfection’ is something I constantly battle with lots of self talk required for me to ‘let go’ in 2012 otherwise I turn into the person I don’t want to be…..let’s see how it pans out. Happy New Year and look forward to reading and sharing more. Belinda xx

  4. Hi Kristin, I have really enjoyed reading all about mamacino. We are currently in Lucca, will have been here for five weeks when we leave this Saturday to return to Melbourne’s chilly weather. We are staying in an apartment that looks onto San Pietro, and we have walked the walls often, your description of Lucca is spot on. Dinner tonight was pizza from Da Felice. Ciao. Helen

    • Oh Helen…you just gave me shivers down my spine!!!! You lucky things…Lucca is just the most magical place…and in the summer? Wow! I’m so glad you found Da Felice! Isn’t it gorgeous!! I hope you enjoy every single minute you have left of your marvellous trip. Love Kristin x
